Flames engulfed a garage and a car inside it.

It happened at Jemmett Road, Ashford, at 6.40pm yesterday.

The car was destroyed and burned beyond recognition and the roof of the concrete garage, part of a row, was also wrecked.

Two pumps from Ashford Fire Station were called out and crews spent an hour at the scene.

The cause of the blaze is not yet known.
