A 10-year-old girl was rushed to hospital after being hit by a van.

The accident, involving a Volkswagen van, happened at Stanhope Road, Stanhope, just after 5pm on Tuesday.

South Kent Police say the child was taken to Ashford’s William Harvey Hospital with a suspected broken collarbone and cuts and bruises.

Her injuries were not considered life-threatening.
