A teenage girl out walking near a lake has been sexually assaulted, police said today.
Officers are now hunting the attacker who struck yesterday at Singleton Lake, Ashford.
Police say it happened between 5.15pm and 6pm as the 18-year-old walked along a path.
She was approached from behind and forced to the floor. The man indecently assaulted and threatened her.
Police want to track down a cyclist who went by during the assault and anyone else who might have seen or heard anything.
An extensive search of the area was carried out and a mobile police station was set up at the scene today.
