A child was approached by a man at a play park, sparking a police investigation.
The incident happened at Victoria Park in Ashford at about 4.30pm yesterday.
It was reported that a child was playing in the park when she was approached by a man who held her by her arms and started taking pictures of her.
The child’s mother was able to intervene and take the little girl away and the man then left the area.
Officers attended the scene and carried out a search of the park and surrounding area.
It comes after the play area at the park in Jemmett Road has just undergone a major refurbishment under a £5.1m project.
Inquiries are continuing into the incident.
