A crash this morning on the M20 brought traffic to a standstill.
The incident, which happened at about 8am eastbound between Junction 9 and 10 near Ashford, has since been cleared.
A spokesman for Highways England said workers were at the scene with firefighters and all lanes have reopened.
Tweeting moments after the crash they said: "We have stopped temporary traffic because of a collision.
"We are assisting fire service on (the) scene and will advise as soon as traffic (is) released."
Traffic flow has since returned to normal but motorists have been urged to drive carefully.
A tweet at 8.40am says: "We've moved all the vehicles to the hard shoulder and released traffic in all lanes eastbound between J9 and J10 following a collision.
"All lanes now open but several vehicles on the hard shoulder so please pass with care. No delays."
