A schoolgirl from Singleton has come fourth in an international rhythmic gymnastics competition.
Great Chart Primary School pupil Christie-Lee Pullen, 10, narrowly missed out on a place on the podium after some successful results at the international championship in Espinho, Portugal in May.
Competing against girls from all over the world, the Canterbury Rhythmic Gymnastics Club member came fourth for her free routine, third for her ball routine and third in the hoop category.
Other competitors came from countries including Brazil, Russia and Israel.
Pullen (pictured right) had some success closer to home, coming third overall in the annual Canterbury Cup held at St Anselm’s School.
She will be representing her club at the British Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship to be held in Stoke-on-Trent next month.
