Pictures show the transformation of a group of homeless people after a barber shop closed for a day to offer them free haircuts.
Twelve people received a free trim and refreshments at the Razor Room in Bank Street, Ashford, last weekend.
Shop owner Matt Gascoine, who launched the town centre business in November, says he is planning to run the event every eight weeks after a successful day.
The 29-year-old, who lives in Repton Park, said: "I see homeless people in the town centre everyday and I want to raise awareness of the issue as I'm in a fortunate position but they have nothing.
"I got a bit choked up seeing what they had to go through. Some of them were in the army and they have served their country but now they are on the streets.
"They were all really happy with the outcome."
Warren's Bakery in the County Square Shopping Centre supported the event by donating leftover pastries including sausage rolls and cakes.
Jim Butcher, who manages the food bank with his wife Rosemary at Ashford Christian Fellowship, has got to know many homeless people over the years.
"Every Monday we supply about 60 meals for people that are struggling and over the years, we have built a relationship with them," he said.
"I have known Matt for quite a while and he asked me if I could help and it went from there.
"We had a great response, it was a fantastic day that had one of those feel-good factors about it.
"They were given the VIP treatment and I think their pride came back a little bit.
"I've seen quite a few homeless people since the event and they were over the moon.
"It was absolutely amazing, you can't put it into words."
