Owner Jill Pearson offers £200 reward for return of long-haired Jack Russell, Little Legs, who was stolen from Smarden Road, Pluckley

A devastated dog owner is offering a £200 reward for the safe return of her pet, which was stolen over a week ago.

Little Legs is a black and white long-haired Jack Russell who is about three years old.

He was stolen from his kennel in Smarden Road, Pluckley, on the night of Monday, December 29 or in the early hours of the next day.

Little Legs’ owner, Jill Pearson, is desperate to have him home as he bears great sentimental value – she inherited the dog from a friend who passed away, Stan Fields.

She said: “I said I’d look after that dog, and I feel like I’ve let him down.

"He lived in the kennel with his friend. They broke in and took him but left the golden retriever.

"I just want him back.”

She has now placed posters appealing for Little Leg's return across the borough in an attempt to spread the word of his disappearance.

Mrs Pearson’s son-in-law, Paul Dilley, said: “She’s devastated by the whole thing. She just doesn’t want to get up, and for her it’s like having your child taken.”
