What a selection! Ska legends The Selecter have been announced as the headline act for a town’s annual music festival.
The two-tone group was famous for hits including Three Minute Hero, Missing Words and On My Radio, and has been secured for the Create Festival in Ashford in July this year.
Original member Arthur ‘Gaps’ Hendrickson still fronts the group alongside a roll call of talented musicians.
Festival organiser Chris Dixon said: “To get such a high profile band to be part of our festival celebration is a real feat and a measure of how far the festival has come over the years.”
This year will be Create’s 22nd year, and is set to host more than 40 bands, solo performers, DJs and acts from the area.
Mr Dixon said there is still time for musicians and acts to get involved, with the closing date for entries set for 12 noon on Friday, February 17.
The festival will take place on Saturday, July 22. To find out more visit www.createfestival.co.uk
