A roundabout was blocked after a crash between a lorry and a car in Ashford.
It happened on the Drovers Roundabout near The Range just after 2.30pm.
The emergency services attended but nobody was injured.
The vehicles have now been moved and all lanes have reopened.
It also caused some delays to Stagecoach bus services.
It's close to Junction 9 for the M20 which is the start of the Operation Brock contraflow system between Ashford and Maidstone which, along with cross-Channel delays, has been causing gridlock across the county.
The traffic management plan – and its controversial concrete barrier – is meant to allow traffic to flow in both directions between Junctions 8 and 9 of the M20 when lorries need to be held.
Yet the 14-mile stretch on the coastbound carriageway from Leeds Castle to Ashford is closed and has been causing traffic chaos for six consecutive days.
No fines have been handed out to lorry drivers bypassing Operation Brock - despite warnings they would be hit with £300 penalties.
Instead of joining the queues at the M20, rogue HGVs have been heading down the M2 and A2 in an effort to reach Dover.
Ashford's MP Damian Green says changes need to be made to Operation Brock after Kent was “plunged back into the worst days of Operation Stack”.
