Marks and Spencer confirm they have re-named their ISIS perfume as 'Aqua'.
But the unfortunately-named Isis perfume has been spotted on the shelves of the Ashford branch ready for the Christmas sales.
A spokesman for the company said this must be old stock as the company no longer produces the fragrance as Isis.
Last year, the perfume came into the public eye when shoppers pointed out the inappropriate name.
M&S bosses said the perfume was in their stock for more than 20 years but made a move to rebrand it, after shoppers pointed out it shares its name with the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group,
An M&S spokesman confirmed they have stopped producing Isis perfume and the product must be old stock.
She said: "We carried out a wide review of our fragrances to ensure we are giving our customers greater clarity around our brands.
"As a result, all existing Autograph, per una, Limited Edition and M&S Collection products will move to the new M&S Fragrance brand and we have taken this opportunity to rebrand Autograph Isis as Aqua.”
According to the website, the perfume is described as "fresh but feminine" with "sparkling aromas of the sea combined with flowers of violet, rose and lily of the valley and cedarwood."
M&S said the original product was named after the Egyptian goddess Isis, who was worshipped as the ideal mother and wife as well as the patroness of nature and magic.
