Vandals smashed the windows of a historic building in Woodchurch.
The Mission Hall in Front Road has fallen victim to missile-lobbing yobs, much to the distress of the hall’s owner Colin Steer.
He said: “It is sickening.
“Woodchurch is a lovely village but every now and again it has its vandalism problems.
“Sometimes it’s the village green, sometimes the phone box and this was the Mission Hall’s turn.”
The building, which dates from 1899, was used originally for the religious education of the village’s children.
Apart from brief use by an artist, it has remained derelict for years.
Mr Steer bought the hall about six months ago and is still deciding what he should do with it.
He said: “It is just so nice, set in a lovely village.
“The windows are lovely, it’s such unusual glass.”
At the moment the floor is littered with broken glass and rubbish, including an iron weight and bag of cement.
The incident has been reported to police.
