A road which had "horrendous" and "dangerous" potholes is currently being repaired.
Drivers using Brookfield Road in Ashford said an accident was waiting to happen along the route due to how bad the cavities were.
But Kent County Council (KCC) has repaired the worst part of the road which drivers said could damage cars.
There is currently three way traffic lights at the crossroads near Matalan while KCC workers finish the repairs to the road.
Before work started to fix Brookfield Road, slow signs were put up along the route to warn drivers about how deep some of the dips in the road were.
The signs are still up at the site as work continues.
A KCC spokesman said repairs are set to be completed by 7pm today.
Motorists in Ashford had also noticed bad potholes by the tank roundabout and further along the A28 by Brunswick Road junction on the Cobbs Wood industrial estate.
However, KCC says no repairs are planned for this part of the road.
"Highway stewards have inspected the road regularly and found that this is delamination of the surface and not potholes, meaning that they do not require essential safety critical repairs," a KCC spokesman said.
"We will continue to monitor this location regularly for further deterioration as KCC concentrates its resources on urgent safety critical repairs."
