A new luxury hotel and residential development being built near Ashford town centre is scheduled to open in spring 2020.
The Victoria Point scheme is transforming an empty site in Victoria Road opposite the new Aldi supermarket and next to the train station.
Development company Elevate Property Group is building 216 apartments including one, two and three-bedroom flats, costing between £142,500 to £340,000.
The 120-room hotel is expected to be run by the Hampton by Hilton brand, although the firm is remaining tight-lipped about the plan.
As part of the £55 million project, the apartments will be built with balconies and terraces with views overlooking landscaped gardens and the River Stour.
Steve Dodd, managing director at Elevate, says the site is an important one in the town.
He said: “Ashford is an area that has long been marked for expansion and we are pleased to be able to contribute to the further economic growth of the town.
"We recognised the tremendous potential with significant investment already made in the town and an ongoing commitment to other projects.
“We are mindful that the within one hour to London factor is a strong selling point and good access to Europe and the rest of the south east of England is also a plus."
Apartments are available to reserve through Savills selling agents in September.
Company director Tom Bryant said: “Ashford has a lot of growth potential helped by its excellent connectivity and this is being supported by strong endorsement and investment from local stakeholders.

“Victoria Point’s excellent specification and public realm will contribute to Ashford’s town centre identity and sense of place.
"This is gateway site for the town and we have seen strong demand from both the domestic and international market.”
