A pervert who approached two women from behind and groped their breasts is being hunted by police.

The two separate but similar sexual assaults happened in Kennington, in Ashford, in the last month and are believed to have been carried out by the same suspect.

The latest attack took place last Friday when a 27-year-old woman was approached from behind by a man in Frank Edinger Close between 12.10pm and 12.40pm.

The man put his hands on her shoulders and then groped her breasts.

She managed to push him off and he ran off towards the rugby field.

In another shockingly similar attack, a 39-year-old woman was walking in Peter Candler Way when she was approached by a man and groped.

He ran off when she screamed.

This attack took place on Monday, April 13 between 1.15pm and 1.30pm.

Now, police are trying to trace the suspect who is described as white, aged 25-to-30-years-old, around 5ft 11in tall with light brown hair.

He was wearing a dark hooded top on both occasions.

Following the attacks police said there are “a number of steps people can take to stay safe”.

These include sticking to well-lit and busy areas, particularly at night, avoiding travelling alone, wearing bright coloured clothing and acting confidently.
