A robber forced a woman to hand over three rings from her fingers as she tried to get into her car.

The 45-year-old Ashford woman was approached by a man as she was about to get into her car that was parked in Drum Lane, Ashford soon after 10.30am on December 8.

He pushed her into the side of her car and demanded she handed over jewellery.

As the woman turned around she was threatened and the man forced three rings from her fingers, before demanding money from her.

He then took a quantity of cash and ran off towards County Square.

The offender is described as white, late 20s to early 30s, greasy blond or light ginger collar length hair and stubble. The fingers on his right hand were stained dark yellow and brown with nicotine.

He was wearing a predominately red waterproof jacket with navy blue parts to it, blue jeans and dark footwear.

The stolen rings are described as a unique Bvlgari 18 ct white gold ring, set with two pave diamonds, one blue Topaz, a Rhodolite Garnet and a Palmeira Citrine worth £1,500; a white Navaho gold wedding ring worth £100, and an engagement ring set with five white stones worth £150.

DC Darren Brough said: "I would like to speak to anyone who has information about this robbery, or has been offered these unusual rings."
