Scott Porter has been handed a three-match touchline ban and fined £300 by the Football Association after being sent-off earlier this season.

The Hythe boss (pictured) was forced to watch the 1-0 Ryman League Division 1 South defeat at leaders Dulwich from the stands at Champion Hill on Tuesday and saw Jimmy Dryden sent-off as their early season disciplinary woes continued.

It was Hythe’s first on-field red card of the season but they are bottom of the new Ryman League ‘Respect’ table, which was published earlier this week.

Porter said: "People told me the officials will be better in the Ryman League but I don’t think they are. I feel my ban and fine are harsh, and think I have been singled out because of my reputation in the Kent League.

"Jimmy’s first booking came after he had run 40 yards to try and kept the ball in, which he couldn’t, but he’s then crossed it and the referee has booked him for kicking the ball away.

"The second one was a challenge between two players. I was watching with our officials and the assessor and he told me it should have been a free-kick to us."

Striker Brendon Cass will be out for two months with a broken foot, while dave Cook misses the home game against Chipstead on Saturday because of a one-match ban for five bookings.
