Hythe Town could take another big step towards the play-offs with victory at Whitstable this weekend.
Scott Porter’s side are third in Ryman League Division 1 South and a win at The Belmont will take them through the 70-point barrier.
Travelling on the back of a 13-game unbeaten run, Hythe look certain to feature in the end-of-season shoot-out, but Porter is taking nothing for granted.
He said: “Our aim was to get into the play-offs. Until, we’ve mathematically achieved that, we haven’t done the job in my eyes.
“After that, it’s a lottery, you don’t know who you’re going to get. We’ve just got to concentrate on achieving what we set out to do. We’re taking each game as it comes and treating them like cup finals.
“You want to be at home in those sort of games (the play-offs). Once we’re there, we’ll sit down and think about those sort of things but we know that if we keep winning, we’ll finish third.”
Defender Lee Coburn returns for Hythe this weekend but fellow defender John Walker is still struggling with a hamstring strain.
