Hythe Town manager Scott Porter has challenged his players to prove to him they deserve to remain at Reachfields.
Infuriated by last Saturday’s FA Cup exit at North Greenford United, Porter told his players on Monday that their next three Ryman League, Division 1 South matches could determined their futures.
The first of those was at Maidstone United on Wednesday while on Saturday Town entertain Croydon Athletic before travelling to leaders Dulwich Hamlet on Tuesday.
Porter (pictured) claimed his team had shown "no heart, no desire and no effort" during Saturday's 2-1 FA Cup defeat and added: "It’s unacceptable and I told the players on Monday that they have seven days to prove to me that they are up to it.
"We played badly in losing to Burgess Hill, were different class (in the 4-0 win) against Whitstable a few days later but then go and play like that against Greenford.
"Our performance on Saturday was lacklustre to say the least and it’s so frustrating because I know that, when we are on song, we are a good side but we are just Jekyll and Hyde and it can’t go on.
"I want to be successful as a manager and I want this club to keep moving forward. If certain players don’t show the same ambition then they will be shown the door."
Midfielder Lee Winfield and defender Laurence Harvey, who missed the cup tie both return on Saturday.
