Manager Scott Porter knows that Hythe Town could hardly have picked a more testing draw in Saturday’s FA Trophy first qualifying round.

But Porter (pictured) insists his players are relishing the challenge of taking on a Hampton & Richmond side who boast one of the best defensive records in non-league football.

The Beavers have played eight matches in league and cup this season – winning six and drawing two – and more impressively have conceded just one goal in all competitions.

The Middlesex outfit are joint top of the Ryman League, Premier Division but Porter said: "We are going there to try to spoil their party. It’s a chance of another giantkilling and we are good at it.

"We’ve had some big cup wins over the past couple of seasons and we’ve got nothing to lose."

Centre-half Craig Cloke is unavailable on Saturday as he is attending a wedding but striker Jake Hobbs and midfielder Ronnie Dolan both return after missing Hythe’s last competitive fixture against Ware on September 15.
