Hythe Town boss Scott Porter will urge his players to focus back on the league after their superb midweek 3-0 Kent Senior Cup win over Dover.
Porter described reaching the Kent Senior Cup final as as one of the best moments in his years at Reachfields, but knows Tuesday's result will count for little if Town do not do the business against Whitehawk at home on Saturday.
The Town manager (pictured) allowed his players a couple of days to enjoy the victory, but was planning to bring down to earth at training on Thursday, reminding them how important Saturday’s visit of Whitehawk is to the club’s long-term aim of securing a play-off spot in their first season in Ryman League Division 1 South.
Porter said: "Getting to the final is a great achievement, and well up there alongside winning promotion last season and getting to the FA Cup first round, for the first time last season.
"The prospect of playing in a cup final against one of the two biggest clubs in Kent is great."
He added: "The players know how I work though, and I will be reminding them we need to get a result against Whitehawk.
"They are second in the league, have got lots of money and want to go up, but they won’t know what to expect when they come to our place."
