Brick is thrown through window of house in Stour Close, South Ashford

An investigation has been launched after a brick was thrown through a window.

It is understand a young child was in the South Ashford house at the time, although was unhurt.

The incident happened in Stour Close at 6.20pm yesterday.

A post about the incident was shared on Facebook last night.

It said: "I don't post often but tonight someone put a house brick through my mum's front window.

"Some boys were seen on bikes about 14 or 15 years old.

"I would like the people involved to know by some luck my 18-month-old grandson was not killed by their fun night."

Officers attended and carried out house to house inquires.

A spokesman said: "Police were alerted at 6.20pm on Monday, 7 March to a report of criminal damage in Stour Close, Ashford.

"It was alleged that a brick was thrown through the window of a house.

Officers attended and house to house inquiries were conducted. Police are investigating."
