Pupils at Ashford's North School are celebrating the arrival of two newcomers.
Two of the Pedigree Beef Shorthorn cows on the school's farm have given birth to healthy calves.
North Star First Class, known as Diamond, gave birth in the early hours on Thursday, February 18 to a male calf who is plain red in colour.
Then Aylward Cora 8th gave birth on Tuesday of this week to a female calf (pictured below).
Pupils from the school in Essella Road will help to look after these calves and will get them used to being handled.
The school farm hopes that in the future it will be possible to exhibit the duo at local shows.
The public will have the chance to see the new arrivals - along with a range of other animals - when the school farm holds its annual spring fair on Saturday, April 16 from from 10am to 4pm.
