Delays at junction 10 after lorry jack-knifes on roundabout in Ashford

This was the scene after a lorry jack-knifed on a busy roundabout and left a trailer blocking the motorway slip road.

Motorists faced delays after the lorry got into difficulties shortly after 7am this morning at junction 10 of the M20 at Ashford.

Pictures from Jacci L Wilkins show the trailer of the lorry blocking the coastbound entrance onto the M20 from the roundabout.

There were no reported injuries from the incident, but Stagecoach bus services including the C-Line service and 10 and 10a buses had been diverted via Boys Hall Road.

Bus services are now back to normal and Highways England confirmed the roundabout has reopened to traffic.

It is not the first time motorists have faced difficulties at the roundabout, earlier this week Highways bosses admitted that the lights at the junction were faulty, leading to large tailbacks on busy approach roads.
