Keane lead singer Tom Chaplin has been spotted in a shopping centre in Kent.
The famous singer band member and county resident stopped for pictures with a fan in Ashford.
The artist, who achieved international fame with the alternative rock/pop group that he formed with friends from Tonbridge School, was in County Square shopping centre yesterday.
Town resident Simeon Wright said he spotted the music legend when he came out of Waterstones.
"As I came out of the shop, he walked past me and I thought he looked really familiar," he explained.
"When I realised who it could be and asked him, I was lost for words to be honest – I've been in love with both his and Keane's music for 15 years!"
Mr Wright, who runs yoga classes locally at 'The Yoga Man' for children aged 5-11, managed to get a picture – despite being "awestruck".
"I managed to ask him for a picture and wish I took three more quick ones as the only one I got looked a bit dodgy!" he added.
"I was only looking at tickets to their London show a few days ago and listening to his new single the night before.
"I managed to say I was a massive fan and I really wanted to come and see his new music at The Palladium.
"You certainly don't expect to get to meet one of your favourite singers of all time at your local shopping centre – as soon as I get home I'm buying a ticket to that show!"
This is not the first time Mr Chaplin has been spotted in the Ashford area, with many quick to share pictures of him on Facebook.
The 43-year-old, who lives in Wittersham on the Isle of Oxney near the border with East Sussex, has been spotted in the shopping centre before, as well as at village events across the district.
