Commuters driving near the BP garage on Station Road, Ashford, saw a very sad owner whose kit car had caught fire this morning.

The engine burst into flames and was put out by a quick-thinking employee of the garage who ran out with a fire extinguisher. Ashford fire crews all attended.

Rush-hour traffic was delayed between 8am and 9am.
