A lane was closed after car left the carriageway on the M20 coastbound near Ashford.

Highways England confirmed that one lane was closed around Junction 10 (Ashford South).

Traffic seemed to cope well, and the lane has since reopened.

Police have been contacted for comment, but the severity of the incident is not yet known.

The incident comes just hours after the new Junction 10A was opened.

There have already been complaints about the new junction, with some saying that the signage is unclear and confusing.
