Safety work to strengthen a footbridge on the M20 near Ashford is planned to start on Sunday and is expected to be finished by the end of June.
The work will enhance the structure of Lacton Way footbridge, which runs over the M20 near junction 10, by increasing the thickness of the concrete pier and protecting it from vehicle impact.
For the safety of road users and road workers lane three of the coastbound and London-bound carriageways of the M20 between junction 9 and 10 will be closed throughout the work, with lane two also closed each night between 8pm and 6am.
There will also be a temporary 50mph speed limit during the work.
