Leon Camier smashed the long-standing British Superbike win record after completing an historic treble at Brands Hatch.
The championship’s first ever three race weekend was dominated by the Ashford racer who took his win tally for the season to 14.
Wins in all three races took him past Niall Mackenzie’s record and edged Camier a step further to clinching the British title.
It also took GSE Racing onto 100 wins in their history which capped off a remarkable weekend for Camier at his home circuit.
Camier (pictured) said: "I’m over the moon to secure Colin Wright’s 100 BSB victory. To win the first ever triple and beat Niall Mackenzie’s record for race wins at my home round is really special.
"Both races on Sunday were difficult. I had possibly my best ever start in race two. We don’t have launch control on the Airwaves Yamaha but I managed to get away at the front anyway.
"Then in the third race I had my usual bad start and fell right back. I knew I had to get up to the front quickly else there would be too much of a gap to make up. Once I was in the lead, I just had to get my head down and pull away.
"The crowd at Brands Hatch were amazing, so thank you to everyone for their support."
Saturday’s opening race saw Camier trailing Aussie pair Broc Parkes and Karl Muggeridge from the start but he fought his way to the front to get the weekend off to a winning start.
Camier made a good start in the second race on the Sunday and he and Broc Parkes pulled away from the rest of the pack, before a five-lap safety car period came out, as Maxxis Yamaha’s David Johnson was given medical attention after a crash.
The re-start saw Camier keep World Superbike wildcard rider Parkes at bay to claim win number 13.
On race three Camier slid from pole right from the start but managed to battle back and on lap 15 he managed to pass leader Broc Parkes.
Camier now sits 113.5 points ahead of his teammate James Ellison in the Championship after winning 14 of the 17 races so far this season.
