Fans attending the British Superbike event at Brands Hatch this weekend are in for a triple dose of race action.

For the first time, there will be three races over the weekend, with an 18-lap race on Saturday followed by two 20-lap events on Sunday.

Currently leading the way in the championship is Ashford’s own Leon Camier, who is on course to claim more wins in a season than any other rider in the history of the series.

Airwaves Yamaha rider Camier has 11 wins so far and leads the championship from team-mate James Ellison by 75.5 points.

The Ashford rider is just short of 1997 championship winner Niall Mackenzie, who won 13 races on his way to the title.

There will also be an appearance on the track from the legendary Giacomo Agostini.

The Italian is regarded by many as the greatest bike racer ever, having won 15 world Grand Prix titles, 12 Isle of Man TT crowns and 122 Grand Prix wins in total.

Agostini will be just one of a host of famous faces on show, with Jamie Whitham, John McGuiness and this year’s senior TT winner Steve
Plater also doing demonstration laps.

Adult gate prices for Saturday are £15 and Sunday’s admission fee is £28.
