World Superbikes racer Leon Camier resumes his pursuit of title glory at the Nurburgring, Germany, on Sunday.
The 11th of the 13 rounds will begin with Camier and his Aprilia team-mate Max Biaggi leading the manufacturers’ championship with 385 points, from Suzuki with 334 and Ducati 297.
Biaggi also leads the riders’ standings, with 373 points, with Ashford-born Camier eighth on 164, after three podium finishes this season.
Although the series has taken a break of more than a month since the last round, at Silverstone, Camier will be hoping to build on the sixth and third places he gained there, which he followed with a visit to Brands Hatch, to watch the battle to succeed him as British Superbike champion.
He described the support at Silverstone and from fans he met at Brands, as amazing.
He said: "It means a lot to know that people are behind me."
Biaggi said: "The Nurburgring is a great track and not as ifficult as Silverstone for our RSV4.
"We’ve got two leaderships to defend and it’s not that easy.
"It’s time for all of us to buckle down again, from here on every race will be decisive."
