Leon Camier will compete in the penultimate round of the World Superbike Championship aboard the Aprilia RSV4 this weekend.
The Ashford racer has dominated the 2009 Championship and broken numerous records, scoring nine pole positions and 17 wins to date.
Camier will be temporarily released from his contract with GSE Racing for their race. He will then return to conclude the British Superbike season at Oulton Park in October.
This weekend will be Camier's second entry into the World series. Airwaves Yamaha competed as Wild Card entrants at the British round where Leon finished 13 and 6.
Camier said: "I would like to thank Aprilia for giving me such an amazing opportunity, and also GSE Racing for being so supportive.
"This year has been incredible. To follow my BSB Championship win with a ride on-board a proven race winning machine in World Superbikes, is awesome."
"It's going to be a tough challenge for sure. There'll be no time for testing beforehand, and I've never ridden at Magny Cours, but I'm really looking forward to it."
