There were tailbacks on part of the M20 this morning after a crash involving a van.
Fire crews and police were called to the London-bound stretch near junction 10 for Ashford at 7.30am following reports a white van had smashed into the hard shoulder.
Another car had to stop on the carriageway after the headlight from the van became wedged under its wheel.
A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue said: "We attended and made the scene safe.
"We also helped the police move the vehicle to the hard shoulder."
An ambulance was called for the van driver.
Two lanes out of three were initially closed while the emergency services attended the scene.
They have now re-opened.
Elsewhere, the M20 between junctions 8 for Leeds Castle and 9 for Ashford is closed due to Operation Stack.
