The M20 has now reopened at Junction 9 following a serious accident involving a car and motorbike.

Police and ambulance crews received the call at 12.55am at the turn-off for Ashford and Faversham.

The road was closed coast-bound since 1.30am and diversions were put in place.

The vehicles involved have now been removed and the clean-up is under way.
