A motorway was shut in both directions after concerns were raised for a person.

The alarm was raised last night on the M20 in Ashford which was closed for almost an hour.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 8.15pm on Wednesday following concern for a person near Junction 10 of the M20. September 29

"Officers attended the scene and the person was located and passed to the care of healthcare professionals.

"The road was closed while the incident was responded to and reopened at around 9pm."
