Commuters have been facing delays on the M20 this morning after a van overturned.

The vehicle ended up on its side on the London-bound stretch between J9 for Ashford and J8 for Leeds Castle.

It blocked one lane after the accident at about 6.50am, leading to delays during the rush hour.

Kent Police said the van reportedly hit the central reservation and overturned.

The male driver was taken to the William Harvey Hospital, Ashford, with injuries thought to be minor.

Kent Highways said drivers faced delays of around 15 minutes past the scene.

The van was moved and the lane cleared by around 8.15am.
