Urgent repairs to concrete sections of the M20 will close a long stretch of the motorway this weekend.
Highways England is shutting the coastbound route between Junctions 8 for Leeds Castle and 9 for Ashford from 8pm tonight.
It won't reopen until 6am on Monday, forcing drivers to use the M2 or A20 instead.
The stretch between Junctions 8 to 9 has been the centre of attention in recent months after Highways England implemented the Operation Brock contraflow.
The system was put in place in March last year to prevent severe delays on the motorway, which is the key freight route to and from Dover, in the event of a no-deal Brexit.
But the controversial steel barrier was finally lifted in January, allowing drivers to use all three lanes again at 70mph.
