A main road was blocked in both directions after a crash involving a van and a car.

Police were at the scene in Small Hythe Road, Tenterden for more than two hours working to clear the road.

Officers were called to the incident shortly after 8am and the road has now been cleared.

No serious injuries have been reported.

The ambulance service were made aware of the collision this morning but stood down shortly afterwards.
