There are major delays on the M20 after one lane was closed for emergency drain repairs.

Engineers are working to repair the damage on the London-bound carriageway between Junction 9 for Ashford, and Junction 8 for Maidstone.

KCC Highways says lane one of three is closed near Lenham and it is not yet clear when it will reopen.

It initially caused delays of around 45 minutes when the closure was first put in place leaving drivers in four mile queues.

However National Highways says delays are now around 15 minutes.
