Police carried out drugs raids on two addresses in Ashford yesterday.

The swoops took place in the town centre and Willesborough at 1.30pm after local residents had alerted police.

A quantity of cash, cannabis and drugs paraphernalia was seized.

South Kent Police spokesman Rosy Alexander said: "Ashford Neighbourhood Task Team conducted a warrant on two addresses following information from concerned residents."

Officers now say a 22-year-old local man was arrested and subsequently bailed pending further enquiries until March 3.
