A man has been charged after a disturbance at a pub in Ashford where two police officers were assaulted.
Police were called to County Hotel following reports of a man acting aggressively towards staff and customers.
After the man was arrested he is alleged to have spat at two officers and attempted to physically assault one of them. He was also allegedly found with a knife.
The incident happened at 11.45pm on Thursday, July 29.
Samuel Wood, 29, of no fixed address, has been charged with two public order offences, possession of a knife in a public place, two counts of assaulting an emergency worker, causing criminal damage to a custody cell and possession of cannabis.
He is due to appear at Folkestone Magistrates Court today.
