Paul Bristow charged with attempted murder after stabbing outside The Rose Inn in Kennington

A 25-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing outside a pub in Ashford.

The attack happened near the The Rose Inn in Kennington in Faversham Road on October 2.

Paul Bristow of Chilmington Green, Great Chart, Ashford, has been remanded in custody until January 4.

Victim Darran Bean was left fighting for his life in hospital in London having suffered several stab wounds in the attack outside the pub.

The 47-year-old is now recovering from his injuries after being released from hospital.

Police cordoned off the pub the following day while forensic teams and detectives carried out investigations at the scene.

A second man, a 20-year-old from the Ashford area, who was also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, remains on bail until February while inquiries continue.
