Man collapses in Ashford High Street by Lloyds Bank

Around 30 people are reported to have gathered on Ashford High Street yesterday afternoon after a person collapsed in the street.

Two South East Coast Ambulance Service crew along with two ambulances were called to the scene on the High Street by Lloyds Bank, at the top of Bank Street, just after 4pm on Thursday.

Calls had been made to the service about a person collapsed and potentially fitting.

The patient, who was reportedly male according to eyewitnesses, was said to be concious but with a head injury.

He was taken by ambulance to William Harvey Hospital in Willesborough.

Eyewitnesses at the scene were initially concerned that he had been bitten by a dog.

However, a spokesman for the paramedics said this was not reported to be the case.

A spokesman for SECAmb could not confirm the man's current health condition.
