A driver has been flown to hospital with serious injuries after firefighters freed him from the cab of a lorry, which had crashed into a ditch.
Emergency crews attended the scene in Denwood Street, in Crundale, Ashford at 8.30am today.
The man in his 30s was flown to hospital by air ambulance and police described injuries as 'serious'.
A fire spokesman said: "Kent Fire and Rescue Service crews were called to a lorry that had overturned lorry on an embankment near Denwood Street, Crundale at 8.30am today.
"Firefighters used airbags and hydraulic equipment to release the driver who was trapped. He was taken to hospital by air ambulance."
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 8.39am following an incident involving a lorry in Denwood Street, Crundale.
"The driver was injured after the lorry left the road and slid down an embankment.
"Officers attended the scene, along with Secamb and KFRS.
"The man, aged in his 30s, has been taken to a hospital in London.
"His injuries are described as serious. No other vehicles are believed to be involved."
