A man is being sought following four incidents - including an assault on a young man - which took place on the same night.
Officers are investigating two thefts, an attempted theft and an assault following a theft which were all reported to have occurred on Friday, December 27 in Ashford.
It is reported that just after 1.30am, a man in his 30s had his wallet stolen when he walking on the bridge on Station Approach. The man had just withdrawn £100 from a cash point on Bank Street.
Then, 10 minutes later, two friends standing in East Hill were approached by a man who put his arm around one of the friends.
He asked the 19-year-old if he was OK before attempting to take a wallet from the other friend's pocket.
As the two friends walked away, the 19-year-old man realised his phone was missing from his pocket.
Then at about 2.15am two men approached a 20-year-old man who was walking along East Hill and one of the men removed the victim's wallet from his back pocket.
The victim had just withdrawn £40 from a nearby cash point. The victim asked the men where his wallet was and the two men assaulted the 20-year-old before running off.
Now, two efit images have been released of a man police would like to speak to in connection with the incidents.
PC Andrew Dale said: "Officers are linking the four similar incidents reported to have occurred on Friday 27 December. I would urge the person in the efit or anyone who recognises this man to contact police.
"I would also encourage people enjoying the night-time economy to avoid walking home alone and to stick to well-lit areas.
"Also please drink responsibly as alcohol can make you more vulnerable and likely to be targeted by opportunist criminals.'
Witnesses or anyone with information about the incidents is asked to contact PC Andrew Dale at Kent Police on 01233 896335 and quoting reference ZY/039462/13.
