A man in his 20s died in a two-car crash in Chart Road, Ashford, last night.

He was driving a purple Ford Fiesta which collided with a black Volvo XC90 at about 9.30pm.

The vehicles were travelling in opposite directions when they crashed near the roundabout on Brookfield Road.

The Fiesta driver, who is from Ashford, died at the scene, while the driver of the Volvo suffered minor injuries.

Police closed the road between Brookfield Road and the roundabout on Templer Way to allow officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit to investigate.
