An injured pedestrian was taken to hospital after he was hit by a car.

The crash, believed to have taken place at about 12am last night, happened in Station Road, Ashford.

The man was taken to hospital with injuries deemed not to be life threatening.

He has since been moved to one in London.

The car stopped after the collision.
