Man quizzed over wife's death

DETECTIVES are today questioning a 45-year-old man after his wife was found dead at their home.

The woman's body was discovered at the property in Langley Drive on the Washford Farm estate in Ashford on Tuesday afternoon.

Her husband has been arrested and is being questioned at Ashford Police Station. He was held overnight in custody.

Police were called to the leafy suburb at about 12.15pm on Tuesday when they found the body of the woman who was aged 42.

The coroner, Rachel Redman, has been informed and a Home Office pathologist is carrying out a post mortem examination.

A senior Kent Police detective from the force headquarters at Maidstone opened the investigation but it is likely to be handed over to an Ashford detectives soon.
