Thieves snatch phone from man in Newtown Road in Ashford

A man was robbed as he walked home in the early hours of the morning.

The victim, who was in his 40s, was walking along Newtown Road in Ashford just after 1am yesterday when two men approached him from behind.

The men snatched his mobile phone and assaulted him.
