The emergency services have been called after reports of a man on the A2070 carriageway in Sevington.

The police were called around 4.30pm about the incident and the man has now been taken to safety.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 4.28pm to the A2070 in Sevington to reports of a person the carriageway.

"Officers attended and took the man to safety.

"He has been taken to a local hospital as a precaution."
